True Homes is committed to making a positive impact in the communities that we serve. Our desire is to be a company that our communities want to exist. The themes of this impact statement include empowering our associates to amplify their impact, partnering with community organizations to deliver affordable housing solutions, and creating pathways for vocational opportunity in home building.

Associate Empowerment

True Homes empowers every associate to support their local community through monetary donations to charitable organizations

of their choosing. True Foundation amplifies their impact by matching every gift four times over, up to $1,000 annually.


During 2023, 165 local charities were supported by True Homes associates who gave $35,000 in donations. This was matched with $135,000 by the True Homes Foundation.

Doorway to Prosperity

Doorway to Prosperity focuses on supporting upward mobility of local, community serving heroes including: teachers, police officers, healthcare workers, firefighters, and social workers.


This program provides affordable homes to households in the 60% to 80% AMI range. Each home is sold to a local community hero with a forgivable second mortgage representing 10% of the purchase price.

The True Homes Foundation Scholarship

The True Homes Foundation Scholarship exists to advance opportunities specifically for minorities and/or women in the residential construction and land development industry. The scholarship will be available for rising juniors (or rising seniors with a fifth year) pursuing a degree in Construction Management. The scholarship is directed at students and programs with an emphasis on residential construction.


Women/minority construction management students were awarded scholarships totaling $100,000.

Builders Bridge

Builders Bridge is a nonprofit that exists because a nationwide labor shortage created an opportunity to invest in workforce development through developing and training the next generation of skilled workers. Builders Bridge partners with excellent industry leading trade companies and local community partners to educate, recruit, train and develop young men and women 17+ to step into lucrative, rewarding careers in the residential skilled trades.

Homebuilding Immersion Tours

Educational field trips for high school students to learn about the career opportunities available to them in residential construction.

Summer Internship

A paid, 8-week summer internship opportunity for eager, young workers to experience our industry and start their careers in the residential skilled trades.

True Homes US Day

US Day is an opportunity for our company to give back to the

local community we are a part of by serving and doing volunteer

work. We empower all our associates to participate.


Just a few of the service opportunities True Homes Associates

participated in:


  • Food for Families: sorted and packed bags of food used for Elementary kids without food stability over the weekend.
  • Union County and Mecklenburg County Crisis Assistance Ministry: 2,400 hygiene kits packed and provided food for food bank.
  • Community Shelter of Union County: served over 400 lunches.
  • Freedom Alliance: furnished home for a veteran family.
