Triad families, prepare for a fun-filled 4th of July filled with fireworks, fun, food, music, and more! True Homes Triad has found some of the best events for 4th of July in the Triad area: Greensboro, High Point, and Winston-Salem. Take a look at some of the ones we found:

Kids Patriotic Parade of Wheels, Gibsonville, 9 a.m. Saturday
Kids under 12 can be the star of their own patriotic parade with this fun 4th of July event. Grab some streamers, flags, lights, horns, ribbon—anything to make your non-motorized wheels look spectacularly red, white, and blue for the fourth! Then bring your decorated bikes, trikes, wagons, scooters, or wheelchairs and come to this exciting parade at the Gibsonville Garden Railroad. Check in is at 9AM, but you have to register online beforehand. Don’t forget your helmets!
Fun Fourth Festival, Greensboro, Monday and Tuesday
The 4th of July in Greensboro wouldn’t be complete without the Fun Fourth Festival! This two-day event starts with a Freedom Run in the evening on Monday, July 3rd. Here you can participate in a 5K, a 10K, or 1-Mile run. Around the same time, the American Block Party will begin in the Elm and Greene Street parking lot. This FREE Block Party will feature music by Liquid Pleasure Eric & the Chill Tones and have beer and food available for purchase. On Tuesday, the party continues with The largest 4th of July festival in NC: five separate areas will be filled with live performances, unique vendors, and interactive games. For an explosive end to a great two days, stick around for the Patriot Fireworks Concert at the First National Bank Stadium. Featuring music by the Dixieland Band and the Greensboro Concert Band, this FREE concert will also have brews and food available for purchase which means you can spend the entire night connecting and celebrating with family activities in Greensboro.
Old Salem Independence Day Celebration, Old Salem Historic District, 9:30 a.m. Tuesday
The 4th of July activities in Winston-Salem are pretty spectacular, but even more so knowing that The Old Salem district lays claim to holding one of the country’s first public Independence Day celebrations. Starting early on Tuesday, you and your family can enjoy hands-on activities, patriotic music, demonstrations, and fun. Watch Gunsmiths at work and see patriotic ornamentation on early longrifles. Experience an 1830s Independence Day Celebration and learn about the popular Election Cakes. Visit the Summer Garden and see its harvest being prepared and preserved in the kitchen. And learn how summer milk is utilized for cheese making. All of these activities and more are included with your ticket to the event: $27 for adults and $13 for kids.
