Market:
For us, being green isn’t just the latest trend or buzz word but rather, green building is at the core of our business philosophy. It is a commitment to green home design and green construction. We strive day in and day out to provide the opportunity for “more life” with everyone that we come into contact. Our True Green building program flows directly out of that desire. We believe that we have a stewardship responsibility to our customers, our communities, as well as the environment. We achieve this through GREEN BUILDING and CONSERVATION. These two areas allow us and True Home green living home owners to reduce the impact on our environment, create healthier green living environments, conserve energy, as well as save money.

ENERGY EFFICIENCY comes
standard in every True home,
saving money and energy.

An energy efficient home is a by-product of several key ingredient ranging from high performance windows to tight home construction and ducts. Every True Home is more than 40% more efficient than a typical existing home giving each customer significant savings on their monthly utility bills.

INDEPENDENT TESTING

Every True home is third party tested and certified.

  • HERS Score for Energy Efficiency
  • RESNET Certified Inspector
  • Pre-Drywall Energy Inspection
  • Blower Door Tested for Air Leakage
  • Estimated Savings in Writing

Each True Home receives a certified Home Energy Rating Systems (HERS) score. This score is produced by a RESNET certified building inspector who provides a standardized evaluation for energy efficiency for every True Home's customer. The HERS score compares the estimated amount of energy used in the inspected home to a typical new home and existing home. The lower the score, the more energy efficient the home.

HERS® INDEX

Home Energy Rating System

The HERS Index is a scoring system established by the Residential Energy Services Network (RESNET). In which a home built to the specifications of the HERS Reference Home (based on the 2006 International Energy Conservation Code) scores a HERS index of 100, while a net zero energy homes scores a HERS Index of 0. The Lower a home's HERS Index, the more energy efficient it is in comparison to the HERS Reference Home.
